Why do we use Flash? There are a number of different web browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera etc.) and many different versions of each browser are in play on the internet.
Most browsers and browser versions don't support the web page markup language standard consistently so it has become increasingly difficult
to create web pages which display properly from one browser to another. The Macromedia Flash Player alleviates this problem because it
is available on most platforms including Windows, Linux, Mac OS 9 and X as well as a host of other systems. Content is displayed
consistently from one platform to another. And web designers can focus on creative content instead of spending hours kludging around each
browser's idiosyncrasies.
